Job Description

ABOUT THE COMPANYThis organisation is located in Wellington and leader in its area, who provides integral services to New Zealanders.ABOUT THE ROLEAs the Application Support Engineer you will be identifying deficiencies and opportunities within applications and/or business processes and planning and executing appropriate changes. You will also be called upon to provide advice and expertise to support the efficient resolution or closure of incidents and requests. You will have a key role on projects - primarily the applications they own and manage. DUTIES

  • Resolve tickets that have been assigned to you through Cherwell
  • Provide advice when sought out by other team members
  • Update relevant support documentation
  • Undertake maintenance activities for all organisational applications
  • Provide reliable data to external design and implementation entities
  • Strong experience with Unix/Linux and Windows.
  • Proven knowledge of scripting languages such as JavaScript and Python.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience of IT application and operational support.
  • Able and willing to work on-call.
  • AWS experience would be an advantage.
