Job Description

Our school holiday program, held at the Knox church kindy in Lower Hutt, is all about fun activities in a safe and positive environment.As a Support Worker on our School Holiday Programme, you will be part of a vibrant team who are dedicated to creating and maintaining a safe, secure and healthy space, where children with an intellectual disability can spend time in the holidays. Reporting to the Programme Leader, you will work with the child to ensure they are safe and having fun.These are fixed term contracts, covering two consecutive weeks- Monday to Friday 8:00am-4:00pm, 19 April - 30 April 2021.If you think youd enjoy helping children have an awesome experience during their school hols, get in touch today.   • Be a great communicator
  • Have plenty of stamina!
  • Be empathic and intuitive- able to interpret, anticipate and intervene to keep children safe and happy
  • Have some experience with children and/or people with disabilities
  • Hold a full drivers license
  • Be willing to support children with their personal cares, such as bathing, dressing and toileting
