Job Description

Things are humming at Fernhill Solutions, as such our team needs to grow. Were on the lookout for an awesome individual who can add their talents to our amazing team. You might have experience working with Government or perhaps have been a consultant already, but overall you will have a positive attitude (at least most of the time) and a willingness to help our clients solve their problems.  Role PurposeAs a Consultant at Fernhill Solutions, you’ll be amazing at assisting and supporting the wider Fernhill team by providing consultancy and advisory services across our five key service areas:

  • Strategic Procurement
  • Business Change
  • Stakeholder Engagement and Communications
  • Research and Evaluation
  • Service Design
On occasion you’ll be required to represent Fernhill Solutions as the lead and will perform the required duties for the client. You’ll keep our clients and their customers at the centre of everything we do. Role AttributesYou could find yourself doing all sorts of things at Fernhill Solutions which is why, as a Consultant, you’ll be a person who can gather and distil information quickly and communicate effectively in both a verbal and written manner.  You’re likely to be someone with two or three years’ public sector or consulting experience under your belt, particularly in a project or programme environment, and you aren’t daunted by needing to deliver quality products in tight timeframes. You’ll be quick on the uptake and able to work effectively and autonomously.  You’ll also be good at showing initiative whilst having support from the team to give you the confidence in your own ability and develop your skills further. You’ll have the confidence to try new things and operate in a safe and fun environment where learning from mistakes is more important than not giving it a go. Key Responsibilities/AccountabilitiesBusiness Development 
  • Proactively enhance Fernhill Solutions’ reputation as a professional and preferred supplier to stakeholders. 
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients and enhance existing relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. 
  • Contribute in developing new business opportunities. 
  • Maintain a professional public profile at all times. 
Stakeholder Management 
  • Ensure client requirements are met and exceeded where practicable. 
  • Comply with all reasonable directives from clients. 
  • Actively participate in communication forums with clients and potential clients. 
Quality Management 
  • Provision of high quality products and services in consideration of time and cost constraints. 
  • Contribute to the development of effective quality processes and procedures to meet client requirements. 
  • Adhere to defined processes including financial delegations, procurement and accounting procedures. 
Communication Management 
  • Communicate openly and honestly at all times. 
  • Review and implement appropriate communication modes for stakeholders and facilitate access accordingly. 
  • Undertake reporting on projects as required by the client and business. 
  • Be available to communicate with stakeholders as required. 
Health and Safety
  • Meet all responsibilities as outlined in the Fernhill Solutions Health and Safety Policy. 
  • Comply with all applicable health, safety and environmental laws, regulations and statutory obligations at all times.
