We support our communities through the Vodafone New Zealand Foundation with an ambitious goal to halve the number of disadvantaged young people in Aotearoa by 2027. Reporting to the Security Design & Engineering Team Leader, the Security Operations Analyst is responsible for providing effective incident response to cybersecurity threats for Enterprise customers and is an on-site customer-facing role. As Security Operations Analyst you’ll assess vulnerabilities, effectively prioritising and managing the remediation process whilst providing an excellent level of regular stakeholder and customer communication and support. Please note, this position can be based out of either Auckland or Wellington. What Will I Be Doing 

  • Reviewing, triaging and managing security incidents for enterprise customers, working with internal and external teams to provide resolutions within SLAs
  • Managing vulnerability scanning and generated, prioritising and communicating to the business the remediation of identified vulnerability threats.
  • Managing Endpoint security software operationally, including patching, configuration and incident management.
  • Positively contributing to technical security and process improvement within the practice.
  • Participating as part of an on call roster.
 What Will I Bring 
  • Relevant industry experience in security incident response and threat assessment.
  • Desirable experience in Information Security and security platforms, ideally Crowdstrike or other End point Security experience.
  • Quals or other Vulnerability Management experience.
  • Network Security expertise – Firewalls, IPS, VPN, Proxies, DDoS.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with enterprise IT Infrastructure
  • Ability to engage and contribute within a high performing and diverse team.
  • Security industry certification highly desireable – ISC2, SANS GIAC, CompTIA or equivalent.
