Job Description

Team Leader: District SAR Assistant Coordinator,  it starts with you!

  • Based at Police National Headquarters
  • Two year Fixed Term Contract
  • Salary starting from  $88,404 
About the roleThe Frontline Capability group are looking for a professional, dynamic and innovative person to join them in the role of Team Leader – District SAR Assistant Coordinator. This person will be joining a team that is focused on saving lives, preventing or minimising injuries and operating safely.  As the Team Leader – District SAR Assistant Coordinator you will work in a supportive and collegial environment where you will have a significant part to play in leading, developing and building the potential of SAR in our organisation. You will be responsible for the leadership and management of 10 district SAR coordinators and ensuring consistent performance throughout all districts.Key Accountabilities:
  • Lead a team of 10 District SAR Assistant Coordinators
  • Lead and promote SAR related prevention activities and maintain national oversight of SAR activities
  • Assist with SAR training and ensure a consistent standard is being delivered
  • Maintain accurate records and provide solid reporting on SAR matters
  • Relationship management within Police and externally with SAR partners

  • The ability to work well both independently and collaboratively
  • Experience or knowledge of SAR practices, process in an operational environment would be advantageous
  • Ability to learn quickly and develop others
  • Experience leading a team that are diversely spread around the country
  • Project Co-ordinator experience with solid organisational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experienced in using databases and ensuring accuracy of information
